We were disgusted when the waiter tried to scam us on the bill. Believe me: it was not a misunderstanding. It was a trick. Every Indian restaurant serves rice with the (already overpriced) entrees. Not here. They try to trick diners into paying for premium rice. Happened 2 years ago, just happened again. BE WARNED: stay away.
The ambiance was awesome so we hoped the same for our food. Without wasting much time we started with the appetizers. damn ! less said the better. Food was remarkably disappointing, paneer tikka wasn't even cooked in clay oven. We swallowed gushes of oil down our throat, misery doesn't end there. That seekh kabob wasn't cooked enough. In a nutshell , we paid the bill and sneaked out in search of better Indian food !!
Broad selection on the lunch buffet included numerous vegetarian dishes, soup, several chicken dishes, curried goat, mango custard...all outstanding. Well seasoned variety was very satisfying.
If run-of-the-mill -just shy of gummy - Indian food is your speed - race over to India Palace!!
Servers so attentive plates wisked away BEFORE not-so-bad food was eaten. Better for us I guess.
Let's get this straight - we all have a favorite Indian Food spot. Ours is not in Vegas - sorry kids you will have to travel to NYC for the best. But, if you must try Vegas Indian, hold tight to your cold hard cash and use with caution at India Palace.
DON'T GO THERE
Very Pricy for whats served.Being an Indian I know it.
Mint ,
Tamba,
India Masala Grill
are far far better in terms of whats being offered and their pricing...
Caution for Family people with kids...your every single kid even 2 year old would be charged for a plate in Lunch Buffet.
So a nice family like 2 adults and a kid 2 year old will be charged 3*15 + taxes =50 bucks thats way too pricy by all means.
