A blast! Something different. Creative, enjoyable. Some of the food tastes are excellent; some you will not like.Nothing like it. Not a good place for a serious, quiet date. Not romantic. Great place for 4 or more expierienced gourmands to eat and talk. Warning: it takes 3 to 4 hours to complete the 10 course event.
ING doesn't take itself seriously, in a good way. Casual, fun, experiential. Tweeting is encouraged, flavor-tripping moves into your vocabulary, and you'll want to go back. Better in a small group, with others that would enjoy the fun, playful experience. Fantastic service as well.
ING truly is an experience of childhood bonding - the playful creative ways to eat combined with fantastic food can only bring out the smiles and giggles that define most childhood play. The tasting menu experience alone was phenomenal, but the cocktail pairings were unassumingly complex and out of this world. ING is a must-have experience for any and all childhood and food lovers.
Ing is a place where the ten-year-old in all of us is celebrated through sophisticated yet playful, downright mad scientist-esque plates and drinks served by a talented staff. It's a place where the idea of a tasting menu goes beyond even the, dare I say, "traditional experience" that can be had at Chicago's many molecular gastropubs. Ing is a slice of culinary heaven that I would go out on a limb and say is one of this city's absolute best.
Love the innovative cuisine, familiar yet unfamiliar, very professional and knowledgeable staff
