Nice selection of food, great New England clam chowder. The atmosphere is warm and very Northeastern. Very hospitable service. The fish and chips was delicious and a bargain. It is as good as it gets in Middletown.
amazing restaurant, great quality food. Historic, beautiful setting and dining with a twist. Try the chowder - - the best you'll ever have. Also highly notable is the seafood ravioli, which is unlike anything I've ever tried, and the Black angus burger, it is the best in town. Highly reccomend this restaurant whether you're looking for a casual evening out, or a high quality special occassion.
New England cuisine in historic room settings
Was pleased the first time I visited them to see the old style tavern. Food is simple, nothing over the top. Fish and chips were good, however, I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to my fries. I like the Steak fry, as oppossed to their chunk style. I had breakfast there as well. GREAT Lox, however the bagel could have been better. Bartenders were attentive, and the mgr made me feel very welcome when she asked to make sure everythgin was to my liking.
