From the ratings on here and reviews I was expecting an outstanding meal. Food was uneven. The Jambalaya was way too hot which masked any other seasoning in the dish and the oysters did not taste fresh but the Cod was delicious. Probably would not return.
i saw that JH's American Bar and Grill was highly rated. we gave it a try last night. here are the highlights: they honored my reservation promptly, the greeting was friendly as was the service. the mussels appetizer on the menu were excellent. we were warned by our server to ask to skip the red pepper flakes, as they tend to overpower the dish. the lowlights: everything else. frozen fish, poor preparations, overcooked ribs. not repeating.
Nothing special. Bread basket was light and the rolls were cold. Marghariti served in a hurricane glass and too much sour mix not much tequila and for $14 ordered a dozen oysters, they arrived so fast I new something was wrong, they were schucked earlier not even served over ice, and not cold. Seriously? Mains were good....service OK. Great space and in a town that's in dire need of better food..shame.
Pretty inventive menu served by a friendly wait staff.
INCREDIBLE FOOD, INCREDIBLE SERVICE. CAN'T BE BEAT. NEW KID ON THE BLOCK BUT WELL WORTH THE TRIP. Update go their for free oyster on Thursday night from 5-7 Pm. After the oyster enjoy their small plates and special dishes. Dave is the chef and he really wants to please his customers.
