Jacob Wirth's is a FUN restaurant. The food is good. German food is hearty, never gourmet, and that's what this is. The schnitzel was tender and the beet salad was great. The calamari was tender and spicy with hot cherry peppers. The beer, of course, is great and reason enough to come back.
Great Wiener Schnitzel & Jake's nibbler. Gotta have the wurst balls - most amazing ever. Great beer selection. Tacky live music at times
Great place to share a pitcher or two (extensive beer list!), but I have only eaten here when I had a deal as the prices are a little high for the quality of food you're getting.
A bit antiquated in style, Jacob Wirth is a rustic place in the positive sense. They offer a great (great, great) beer selection and the best Wurst & Sauerkraut in town. Friday nights get quite crowded and loud with the piano sing-along, but service is always friendly and fast.
I had a decent bratwurst open-faced sandwich with good beer for about $17. Too expensive and not enough variety on the menu
