Great addition to the Long Island dining scene. As posted by others it was nice to see the chef actually being a part of his restaurant and overseeing the food. My wife and I tried many items on the menu and were impressed with most of them especially the buttenut squash lasagna. The ambience is nice and the wine/drink list is very good. Will be back again..
anything you order at jewel will be amazing!
Went for dinner on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm. The restaurant was full with suits & other business persons but not overcrowded. Beautiful restaurant with open kitchen. Schaudel was seen in the kitchen expediting until 9pm... it was good to see him keeping a watchful eye on his kitchen, even on a Tuesday. Food (Yellowtail appetizer, Short Ribs & Lobster dinner) was excellent, wait staff courteous but running! More personal service would be nice
Loved it! Even got a glimpse of Tom Schaudel!
Definitely the best restaurant to hit long island! My wife and I went last night for the sixth time and the food just keeps getting better and better. Food is delicious (the halibut, scallops, and black sea bass specials were all among the best we've ever had). Wonderful soups, pizzas, and desserts. Decor-off the charts (Vegas has arrived on the north shore). Service is top notch, extremely attentive. Jewel is a true gem!
