It is all about foofiness here. The food and food presentations were over the top. Things we have never seen before came out and wowed us each time. It is like going to a show as well as a fine dining experience. Everyone should go at least once in their lifetime if you can (very expensive), but unforgettable.
Food and service were superb. Sommelier had an attitude because we brought wine even though we paid $100 corkage. Crispy egg was outstanding and worth the upcharge. Had 6 course menu and was too full, despite being careful with the bread cart. Would get 4 or 5 course meal upon return. Ties not needed for men. Was unhappy we were not offered limo service and when we called, they said no. Would return, but would hope for perfect meal.
Room is beautiful. Service is superb. Food is sublime. We've had the 16 course menu here and then eaten in the NY branch that was, until recently, in the Four Seasons Hotel so it's not a new experience. We had the "2 course dinner" for $169 and it was fabulous. Now, if you're a newbie, go for the whole thing and realize that out of 16, 12 will be gong ringers. And then there's the law of diminishing returns
I was lucky jun in las vegas and then 3 weeks later in Joel Robuchon in Hong kong. this the address that you have to visit in each town that you sleep !perfect food and open kitchen great
