Zagat review failed me this time. Our time and money were not well spent at this restaurant due to very rude service. I cannot believe this restaurant has one of the best food ratings in bay area. Yes the two sashimis that were ordered were super fresh, but traditional Japanese dishes such as usuzukuri or the broth to soba noodle soup were truly lackluster. I regret not heading out to Sushi Ran.

Exceptionally clean, personal and considerate service. Small space with very cordial atmosphere. All the fish dishes are meticulously prepared and exceptionally fresh. Small items that cost extra elsewhere (such as fresh wasabi) accompany your order unceremoniously. This restaurant legitimizes a coast-to-coast trip to SF every now and then.

One of few authentic Japanese tapas dishes you can find in the city with reasonable price & variety (over 200 dishes offered). This is only place I know they serve good Karasumi.
