These place's are crowded and popular I guess because of the price, the food is Ok and the service is suspect. You get what you pay for.

As long standing residents of Manhasset, my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised when we tried La Bottega for the first time, only last week. The food, mostly paninni and salad type, was outstanding. The wine pour wasn't the grossly expensive and under- portioned excuse that has become the norm around here. Tried the take out a couple of night later and were once again pleased. Hope they maintiain, as many don't, their original success.

Good food- but the service is very slow. Be prepared to spend more time that you expect even if you are the only one there
