  • Another hidden gem - decent, BYOB Mexican with great service... in an Uptown strip mall. Fabulous chicken mole, and their tres leches cake was the perfect finish.

  • Quality Mexican fare served by friendly, accommodating people in a quaint, earnest manner. Located in a strip mall in Uptown, it's truly a diamond in the rough.

  • DF [La Ciudad] is our go-to byob spot for THE BEST Chicken Mole in the City. The Distrito natives who run this restaurant know their food AND their customers, making it always a pleasure to drop in. From handmade guacamole and empanadas to perfectly grilled lamb or fish entrees, the men at La Ciudad can't be beat for serving down-home Mexican fair with Up Town Chicago flair. Check them out.
