Interesting location in Buckhead - below a residential building. Decor is dated, but the service and food were really, really good. Waiter made strong recommendations and they were correct!

La Grotta continues to be my favorite Italian restaurant in Atlanta. It is formal, yet comfortable, because of the experienced, knowledgeable wait-staff. Some say feel it hasn't kept up with changes in menus and presentation, but for those who believe that at least some modern preparations are more show than taste, here you can still get even the old menu items, if the ingredients are available. And Barolo wine on the list.

La Grotta has been an exceptional restaurant since I first ate there in 1997. It is truly the model of consistency and excellence, and remains my favorite venue in Atlanta. Sergio and Christian are always gracious and accommodating, service is second to none, and every meal I've every eaten has been superb.

Decor a bit of a throw back, but the food more than makes up for it! Truly spectaular Italian cuisine. Service is always wonderful and it is a pleasure to dine.
