I love this place it is very modern and unique! It's not tex-mex which i love the most! It's a mexican cuisine that you can appreciate! My favorite is the queso blanco for an appetizer and the fish tacos with mushroom cream sauce for dinner! They make really amazing crepes with carmel sauce and almonds...YUM I really enjoy the taste of a truly appreciated mexican flavor! And yes i have been looking for something like this for awhile now. Highly recommended try it out!

La Joya is located in a new art deco-type strip center on MacArthur, just north of 114. The food is mexican-eclectic. If you are looking for traditional tex-mex, this is not the place for you. If you like scalloped enchiladas or some different variations using the fajita skillet with some sausage, go here. The food is outstanding. They had a mariachi band serenading and the service was great. Can't wait to go back.
