    Former "mob speak-easy" still has an old fashioned Victorian charm. This hidden gem under the el tracks is a perfect place for quiet business deals during the day. At night, it's full of romance. Outstanding Italian food and friendly service. Fresh baked bread delivered to every table. Huge portions. You'll love whatever you order, and then take some home for later.

  • Great atmosphere under the "el" tracks. Italian is at 90% of best of Taylor St, but local atmosphere far exceeds Taylor St.

    Charming Victorian unexpected surprise in west loop. The service was good and we asked for a second serving of the fresh baked bread. Entr?e was wonderful.
