  • Exceptional food, good service and nice decor.
    All aspects of the food were terrific -- the Italian Sangria with fresh fruit, the fresh beet salad, warm foccacia, excellent home made pastas, and home made desserts.
    A great value as prices were very reasonable.
    I wish we had known about it sooner, but it now is at the top of our restaurant list.

  • We visited La Piccolina, located on the picturesque New Milford green, on the recommendation of a friend. We were warmly welcomed by Sandra and tended to by an unobtrusive yet attentive staff. The food was inventive, fresh, and delicious. The green salad, simply dressed, was crisp and refreshing. The chicken and veal dishes were tender, well-sauced and perfectly done. Polenta with Mushrooms and Gorgonzola appetizer was outstanding. A must try!

  • Carlos and Sandra, chef & co-owner/hostess of Piccolina, have escaped the rat race of the City and brought authentic, tasty Northern Italian fare and charming accoutrement to Piizza Town, with more Italian eateries (sandwich shops too) per square mile than anywhere outside of Van Ness in the Bx. Subtle, sensitively prepared, home-style, proudly presented, distinctive food that keeps drawing my chowhound family back for more of their hospitality.

    When La Piccolina opened it's doors I was thrilled at the thought that there might now be a restaurant worth going out for. I was so happy to find an Italian restaurant more than equal to my NY haunts.The food is always fresh and tasty. Grilled Calamari is amazing as are all the dishes on the menu. Dessert is a must! The chef, Carlos, accommodates my dietary needs. Sandra and her staff bring a family atmosphere to an affordable eatery. A MUST TRY

    Occupying the former home of "le grand patisserie", La Piccolina consistently delivers some of the best food in the area. NYC quality food in downtown New Milford! The menu changes daily. The ingredients are always fresh, and the wait staff is excellent. The pear salad appetizer and grilled salmon main dish are as good as you will find anywhere. The place looks like a pizzeria from the street. But don't be fooled - it's 3-star cuisine inside.
