Traditional Italian on Restaurant Row in the Theatre District. Food is reliably good. Service is brisk. They offer a prix-fixe pre-theatre menu. Things calm down after 8pm, when they have a piano player.

one of ny's best italians.best lasagna bolognese in ny.delicious, delicate treatment of fish.attentive staff.Totally underrated by zagats.this is the place to go for genuine etherial italian food.

We dined here Tuesday night at 5:30 pre-theater. Although the prix fixe looked attractive, entrees were limited; we decided to order a la carte. We ordered the misto salad which was unfortunately over priced and under inspired. It was simply a mesculin mix with a quartered half tomato in a vinagrette.
The main courses we ordered were two fish dishes from the specials menu: trout and halibut. Both excellent. Service was indifferentPublished May 24, 2012 -
We had dinner here on a Thursday after theater. We saw a crowd that seemed to be having a good time. A gal was singing by a piano. So we decided to try it. The music was the best part of it. The pianist sang a few songs. The singer was amazing. She sang standards, Broadway and had a number os singer friends in the audience who came up and sang. Food was very good. We will be back on a Thursday night for sure
