Lala Rokh

My wife and I have been going for several years and the service and food has steadily declined. Our last visit there, and our last ever, was on New Year's Eve. The unpleasant maitre d' seated us 2 hours late due to - by her eventual admission - gross overbooking, we were sporadically served portions of our order (cold, I might add), the food was sub-par, and we finally finished at 11:40 (for a 6:30 reservation), causing us to run to try to catch the New Year's celebrations - we caught them at the last second, saving the evening despite the best efforts of the staff at Lala Rokh. Really, this should not have been a surprise, we wanted to believe that the place may have just had some off-days the last several times we went, but it seems that their poor food and service is now a mainstay.

Interesting food and a superb ambiance. Great for a small group --you can hear each other speaking
