I ate here almost a year ago and it was the first time I had Ethiopian food. I enjoyed the food a great deal and appreciated the sampler plates since I was not familiar with Ethiopian cuisine. The decor is nice and the server was very good, but was spread kind of thin - if I remember correctly she was taking care of 6 or 7 tables.
I have been going there for about 6 years now, and have brought even the most finicky people there. They are won over by the quality of food, the variety of food, the inventiveness of it, and seeming authenticty of it. It is expertly flavored, very filling (even for the most voracious appetites), and fun to eat. One can go there in dress casual, and will be treated very well regardless. Sophisticated, yet casual, reasonable, and pleasant.
It's not like there's oodles of Ethiopian restaurants in the area, but even lacking experience in the cuisine, this still seems like a great introduction to the nation's cuisine. Imagine eating Indian dishes using a spongy flatbread called ingera as a utensil and you have a pretty good idea of the experience. Extremely fun and tasty--the "roll-your-own" nature of the combo entrees make them a best bet to start,
