I grew up never liking Mexican food. Actually, it was the NY version of Mexican food (with piles of sour cream) that I hated. Las Alamedas introduced me to what excellent Mexican food tastes like.
While the novelty of the initial epiphany has worn off, it remains an above average Mexican restaurant at above average prices. Still worth a trip, but I think I now prefer going at lunch when the both the prices & the portions are more reasonable.
"The new location is beautiful! The food is even tastier than we remember, great serape, ceviche is absolutely excellent. The Tres Leches and Cheese cake are heavenly! Happy hour is great and the patio is VERY inviting! Great Food! Great Service! Great """
Hugely overpriced
"We were very disappointed, thought this place was way overated. Original Ninfas is so much, I mean I care more about the food and service than the decor."
"Excellent traditional Mexican dishes, with a bit of Tex-Mex on the menu as well."
