Our Summary Review

You can distinguish the "king of falafel" from other pretenders on the street by the presence of a long line snaking away from the dark green shop front. Join the line (it moves fast) for a sandwich to go, or push through into one of two dining rooms and ask for a table. There are many options on the menu, including chicken shawarma and lamb kabobs, but you want the falafel sandwich. Stuffed with light and crispy balls of falafel (fried chickpeas) and topped with grilled eggplant and fresh salad, this really is one of the most delicious cheap bites in town. Note that L'As is closed Friday night and all day Saturday to honor the Jewish Sabbath. How we get this »
