GREAT FOR DESSERTS. OK FOR FOOD. For delicious food I would skip this one of José Andrés & go straight to Jaleo (next floor). What is great about CHINA POBLANO are the deserts: Try the sort-of-innovative Sticky Rice (very good), the Tapioca Coconut Soup (fun), or the Cajeta Flan (yum!). The La Diablada Pisco Lychee Sour drink is awesome! Make sure it is La Diablada Pisco that they use, though. It will make a difference.
Not my cup of tea or tequila.
Jose Andres' take on Chinese-Mexican fusion, except the dishes aren't so much fusion as either Chinese or Mexican. Despite the bipolar personality, the food was insanely tasty. The price just seemed a bit high for a casual restaurant.
Confusing layout and offbeat menu.
"Unusual selection of Tapas. Excellent mix of flavors. Must try the ""Duck Tongue"""
