"Old-time grandeur" endures at Sirio Maccioni's "time-tested" Midtown "dining icon", now in its 40th year thanks to a combination of "sumptuous" French cuisine, "exquisite" service and a "posh", Adam Tihany–designed setting with an "imaginative" circus motif; though both "jackets and deep pockets are required" in the main room, its cafe adjunct is less formal and more casually priced.
