French ? How so ? The food is very good and the service is fine. The wine list is probably the best thing there. Overall a very good restaurant but french, no.
Really remarkable - elegant interior, attentive service, great sommelier with suggestions that were terrific matches, rich, flavorful but not overwhelming - had the seared foie gras with pears that was meltingly done and osso buco on a risoto that was spectacular - friends had lamb chops and scallops both done with flavor, attention and wonderful presentation. Certainly matches any French food I have had in the US.
We (4 people) had dinner at Le Mistral March 8. Our food arrived 1 1/2 hour after ordering, after complaining. No explanation, no apology. Gratefully our two guests involved us in some lively discussions, which saved the evening.
