Usually you write a review for a great experience or a terrible one. Unfortunately our 33rd anniversary dinner was ruined by the worst waiter we have ever encountered. I've been coming here since they opened and the food is always at its best. Be aware do not sit in the bar area, as there are 5 tables there and bar seating, where the bar tender tries to double as your waiter. This waiter totally ignored us the whole evening. We will never return.
I like this place as a local, but to suggest it gets a 28 is crazy. In general its been fine but sometimes its been sloppy and the food just not up there, sorry. If this was in Manhattan and you compared it to the Gramercy Tavern you'd get laughed off the block. I think the score reflects the true lack of genuinely good restaurants around here, so it just seems much better than it is. That said its really not bad at all and i enjoy going here
Been here a dozen times. Very consistent, well prepared Cal cuisine. Great service and thoughtful wine list with hard to find Cal beauties throughout.
One of the best in the Conejo valley, Leila's provides great seasonal new-American cuisine with an excellent wine list. Certainly worth the trip.
I don't care where you live you HAVE to drive here. The food is so good and wine friendly. You will come back over and over again and again. If you listen and come here you will thank me for being so persuasive. The complexities of the flavors is truly amazing. The combinations sof flavors stretches your taste buds.
