The Mother's Day Brunch was out of this world. Attention to every detail was over the top. Homemade english muffins with lobster starred. The desserts combined sweet/ savory with totally unusual and delicious from concept, to preparation and presentation.
New Year's Eve: Our only qualm was the fact that the meal focused a bit too much on acids, citrus, and savory game meats rather than combinations incorporating any type of sugar or sweets. A greater variety of tastes would have helped round out the night, as I cannot recall any sour or sweet components, but this may be our own faults based on our choices. A fine place, deserving of the Zagat ratings. We loved it. But on the Michelin scale, this would rate one, maybe two stars. It is NOT a three-star experience. There are MANY places in the world better than this.7/09 has moved since we last were there; every bit as good, or better. The summer degustation menu was superb. two stars -- Dec. 2012, with my wife and a friend/gourmet; fabulous -- still two stars
If I had but one meal, it would be here
It was a vert pleasing experience. Every bite was savory and the service was excellent. This restaurant sets the bar in Boston.
