Disappointing. I had been here for a Corporate Event last Fall and it was average, but I wanted to go back and experience it for dinner. The place clearly needs to be better managed...no directory for weddings so guests were piling up at the restaurant reception desk, kitchen help sitting in the lobby on break, staff carrying piles of chairs through the lobby, rolling tables out of elevators? Mediocre food. I will not be returning here.
Place is very good, the food better than the 20 it received. Service was excellent except for the manager who was both rude and crude. He came to our table 9 minutes after our reservation time, like a Paulie Walnuts wanna be, and demanded to know where the rest of our party was (delayed in the Holland Tunnel.) This despite the fact that the identical table next to ours didn't fill until well after the rest of our party arrived (10 minutes later.) He made what should have been a nice time into something less than that.
If he's the owner he should fire himself.
Tourist restaurant with average food at high prices. This NJ restaurant has a beautiful view of the NY skyline. There has been a recent change in the kitchen, new exec chef, I hear the food has declined in quality.
Great views and pretty good food if you go there for dinner but a complete rip-off if you do an event.
I guess that’s where they make the most money because they give you almost nothing of value in their catering packages. It looks like much of the food provided for cocktail hour is low quality frozen fast food. My expectations were based on their restaurant food and what they put on the tables was rather embarrassing.
Salads, entrees and dessert were all excellent. Service was very professional and the evening view of the NYC skyline added ambiance to an already nice venue. The fish entrees are definitely featured items. The Ahi tuna and red snapper were especially well prepared.
