Great tri-tip sandwich and Mac & Cheese. 40 minute wait on a Saturday night, not bad. Only wish the place was bigger so they could seat more people.
Easily one of the best restaurants I've been to in Chicago, and that says a lot. I was lucky enough to get to try the smoked fried chicken & honey on my first visit (got the last one around 6pm) and it is one of the best things on this earth. Everyone I dined with thought it was the best BBQ they'd ever had, and left full to the brim. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, and that staff is one of the nicest I've come across. Highly recommend!
Very average BBQ. Liked that they had a variety of sauces on the table. Beware of the beer portions - my IPA was half the size of a bottled beer and twice the price. They should list oz sizes! The waiter did give us a chuckle when he recommended Blue Moon for a sour beer.
Better BBQ than than Smoke Daddy, and the drink selection is great! Get Rick Bayless's Goose Island Marisol if you can, and you can't go wrong with the moonshines - especially the Arnold Palmer one. In my opinion, the pulled pork and the mac & cheese are the best things on the menu - you're forced to scarf the food because it's so freaking good!
Not as great as expected.
