I found Local to be an exquisite delight in the heart of Deep Ellum. The food was a fantastic surprise, I did not know that "airline chicken" existed, until I saw the plate. You can not fully enjoy Local without having dessert, we ordered "pumpkin donuts" . I was apprehensive in trying them, but the morsel really melts in your mouth. The service staff was knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant (chef). I found the portions adequate healthy size and much appreciated. The decor is minimalist, a "design within reach" chic meets sultry sexy.

Novel decor. Interesting menu, well described and presented by wait staff who were attentive but not intrusive. Owner and chef, Tracie Miller even checked on our satisfaction. Meal was a good value. Overall an enjoyable dinner. Would go back frequently but live out of the area.

Solid food/service, nice atmosphere, and generous portions. We went for Valentines day dinner and had a wonderful time. Overall we were very pleased and in comparison to other Dallas restaurants this was not the see and be seen crowd. If you are a foodie Local is a solid dining experience. In closing, Tracy kicks Wolfgang Puck's 560 in the heiney!
