Large restaurant for the North End. Staff attitude seemed to be “Service is--serve yourself!” The maitre d’ greeted us, then simply pointed to a far table. The waiter dropped menus on the table for us to pass around ourselves. Except for a friendly and quick busboy, the staff didn’t seem happy to see or serve anyone. Looked like a popular takeout place, probably previous customers who like the good food and big portions but not the poor service.

LoConte is an old favorite of ours. We have to visit it everytime we are back in Boston. The food is fantastic. The Arrabriatta sauce is perfecto and the Lobster Ravioli something we order extra of to bring back to NYC with us. Enjoy this special place in the North End. The service is very Durgan Park with a smile. But the food here is worth the mediocre decor and missing bar. They do have drinks you just need to secure a table.

We had dinner at Lo Conte on July 17th with some friends. We ordered a bottle of wine and antipasto platter for the table and four entres. We got the bottle of wine and antipasto platter and our entres showed up five minutes later. We were out of the restaurant in less than an hour. If you are looking for a nice relaxing dinner, this is not the place to go.

Great food at a great price. Nice and small Italian restaurant in the North End, but the decor is nothing special. Noisy restaurant. No bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. It is a great place to meet friends or take the family - not a romantic Italian restaurant. I would definitely go back. The Cacciatore is divine.
