Casual, non-pretentious atmosphere. Food was good, but over-hyped. The pork belly appetizer melted in your mouth and was rich and delicious. However, the calf heart entree was boring and lacked flavor, and the apple dessert was too sour. I may give it another try in the future, but I think Lolita will be more up my alley.
Started w/wonderful cocktails, and their craft beer selection was top notch. Beef cheek pierogies and asst'd ham apps were a perfect start. Waiter was knowledgeable about the extensive wine list and paired it well with our entrees. The boneless pork chops were the best I have ever had! Two of my companions had the venison, which was also unbelievable! Scallops were very nice, tho distant third to the others. Dessert was innovative-service was fab
excellent, beautiful food
enjoyed everything about Lola....a great time for a night out....lunch time, too, is very exquisite!
Some times we just have to give ourselves a treat.
Michael Symon's Lola, located in Cleveland's restaurant district, was rather pricey but worth every penny. The restaurant's menu items - particularly the appetizers - feature unique flavor combinations that you will remember for years to come. For my entree I ordered the venison, and it rivaled any steak I've eaten. On top of the fabulous food, the atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable and the bartender is top notch. I highly recommend a visit.
