Living in the Locust Point area, I can attest to L.P.'s being a great neighborhood hang out when you want steamed shrimp or crabs in a casual atmosphere. Also, they have a great shrimp salad sandwich (they are often making it fresh when you order it) and soft shell crab sandwich (if that is your thing). No pretense - true locals run this place. The beer is cheap, you can go in dressed like a slob or royalty, and the owner will make you feel right at home either way. In summer time it gets crowded, but L.P.'s is open year round and far less crowded in spring or fall. Natives love it!

My secret non-touristy place to get crabs and sit on the deck. Pitcjers of Natty Boh complete the Baltimore experience in this qunitessential SoBo neighborhood.

This is one of the last, true Baltimore crab houses. A summer afternoon picking crabs on the rooftop deck can't be beat.

We have been going to L & P Steamers for the past 3 years, every time we travel to Baltimore to see the Red Soxs against the Orioles! It's always been a great weekend to be in baltimore and our family tradition is to stop at L & P steamers to get our Crab fix! Love it with the ice cold pitchers of beer! It's the best!
