Founded in 1969 Mario's is one of the oldest neighborhood restaurants in Clear Lake, an affluent suburb of Houston. These are American pizzas, folks, not Italian. This means heartier and cheesier, which the locals love. A couple of appetizers seem to be pre-frozen (eg. mozzerella sticks) and the salad bar is nothing to speak of. However, the pizzas and pastas are fresh and tasty. Desserts come from the Colosseum bakery.
