Friday night in Atlanta and you can walk in at prme time? Made us a little nervous. Some offerings were exceptional--mushroom salad, truffle fritters--but lamb was overcooked (would have sent it back if the waitress had ever returned). Service was not at the level these prices imply. Nice enough, but just out of her league. Didn't understand wine service; overbilled us; extended sabbaticals. Manager came by, but that was obligatory as well.
This place was terrific; I feel bad it was so empty during lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The prices, especially for food carrying the Jean Georges name, are very reasonable. The calamari and tuna tartare were excellent starters, and my baked salmon was delicious. It's as if the dishes are just pared down, in terms of fanciness, compared to his other places. I'd like to go back the next time I'm in town, hopefully for dinner.
Went with a large group. Three nice courses in the prix fixe menu. I was very happy with all.
Food and setting that could make this a modern classic, though likely best enjoyed with an expense account. Very convenient to Lenox Square.
Beautiful food, amazing modern decor and service. Great place for brunch or dinner out. Intersting menu with modern, upscale food.
