Participate NowWent to Mas on a Friday night - honored our reservation right on time and service was great They sold us on a "leave yourself in the hands of the chef" 5 course meal - which would up being selections directly from the menu. The chicken dish, the monkfish and sweetbread dish, etc. were pretty lame - my date didn't really like anything about her meal. The seared tuna and cheesecake were unbelievable. For $250 bucks - go elsewhere.
Had an amazing birthday dinner for my wife. Mas blends the sophistication in food and service of the likes of Daniel with a far more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The food was creative and well done, the wine list solid, and the service truly impeccable. Will definitely be coming back.
Mas Farmhouse fails at making the guest feel welcome upon arrival. The kitchen cranks out awesome fare & the waitstaff is above par. But the host who is supposed to welcome the guest & set the tone for evening, completely fails. How is it possible to have a lovely evening when greeted with indifference & outright hostility by the manager? Mas Farmhouse is a strong candidate for extinction if they don’t soon take a lesson from Danny Meyer.
A beautiful restaurant for very special occasions. The perfect place for true food enthusiasts.
My wife and I enjoy farm-to-table cuisine. So, we were thrilled to score a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner at Mas.
Unlike some other reviewers, we found the serving staff were friendly - albeit slow. The food, however, is another story. Most dishes came out too cold. It wasn't inedible. But soup should be at least warm as should the meat course. If you're looking for a good farm-to-table experience, Try Blue Hill or Volt (in Maryland).
