  • Max's is truly amazing. I go once or twice a week because the food really does taste like a home cooked meal. Max was trained in Italy so it's no surprise that his dishes are nothing short of delicious. Each meal is hand crafted to perfection. The service is good. Max typically makes rounds in the restaurant throughout the night so everyone feels welcome. I definitely suggest trying it out.

  • Very friendly with excellent home made Italian food. Max, the owner-chef, makes the rounds through the restaurant, greeting all guests. He will happily prepare special requests. One of the great cost/quality ratios in the county. BYO.

    A warm, friendly BYO neighborhood restaurant (voted one of the best by the NJ press). The menu includes many well-prepared familiar dishes, but the unusual and imaginative daily "specials" are culinary adventures. The decor is intimate with childhood black and white photos that have sentimental meaning for the chef owner, Max, who warmly greets and interacts with diners. Regulars enjoy a delicious meal and get to feel like one of the family.
