As if you are at a familial house in their native country of Italy, the food at Merlo on Maple is exceptionally authentic. We enjoyed our Italian fare curbside in the crisp autumn air. Our waitress knew the detailed menu well and helped us navigate us to our choices, including exceptional veal cuts, homemade tortellini, and tender lamb. The meal was unreal, and we were glad that we had chosen this hidden find.
Astoundingly terrible, overpriced Italian place. Jaw-droppingly awful service.
Attentive service, lovely ambience, good recommendations from the staff
Absolutely exquisite food in a unique dark wood old mansion; this is a quiet place to savor fresh pasta dishes as good as it gets, to-die-for risotto, and other offerings prepared to perfection by the owner-chef; and the antidote to today's restaurant-group conglomerates.
Our concierge at the Talbot recommended this place when we needed to get into something without reservations. We were pleasantly surprised at the the lovely dining room and excellent food and service.
