Great entrees, strong drinks, service is pretty good unless they're slammed. But...it can get horribly noisy and crowded. We eat here regularly, and love it anyway, despite its flaws.
Slightly upscale Mexican joint in Los Feliz that masquerades as a dive. Popular place. I like the food but find it a bit rich. The green corn tamales are very good, and I had a dish that featured a pepper stuffed with ground meat and corn. Very tasty. Milanesa de Pollo was also very good.
The best Mexican food in an under decorated luncheonette. Don't let the decor frighten you away, this is the real deal.
Love the shredded beef ropa.
Waited for someone to seat us, and no one ever came. I had to ask to be seated. Gave a really bad impression. Food was mediocre and expensive for what it was.
