The best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to! I used to live down the street from Mezcal, and I've only had 1 or 2 slightly disappointing experiences there out of probably 100 visits (all on nights when the restaurant was overflowingly busy). Love the staff - they go around and give out free tequila shots on busy Friday nights - and the food is Mexican comfort food. Fish tacos are my fave!

Best margaritas east of Greenwich. Really good Mexican food that keeps us coming back.

A true Mexican restaurant with a great menu, lots of choices and the best margaritas anywhere. The service is very good and the special banana dessert is excellent. The owner came over to the table to make sure we were enjoying and to throw in a couple of extras on the house. A really great place to eat and drink. You get a lot for your money.

Finally a REAL Mexican restaurant in New Haven. The food is extremely well prepared and very authentic.
