Very good tapas menu. Roasted small peppers with goat cheese was excellent. Chicken livers good. Salmon in a sesame sauce tasted like sweet terreyaki. The almond cheese cake was more on the cake side less on the cheese side & little almond taste. The Greek sauvingnon blanc doesn't have that lemon taste but has an interesing slight sweetness. Outside on a sunny day is great. The service was certainly above average.
Mezze is undoubtedly a Fell's Point hotspot. You enter directly into the crowded bar area which is buzzing with lively conversation even on a weeknight. The traditional Greek tapas are rich and flavorful and served in ample portions. However, the slow, sloppy service, cramped dining space and poor wine selection take away from the experience. Good for carry out/catering, happy hour (if you can find a seat at the bar), or dining with friends.
The ambiance is small, crowded and noisy. Waiters have to be creative in fitting your dishes on the tables. Lots of choices available for vegetarians.
If you love roaches with your food crawling up the wall this is your restaurant!Still waiting to see the manager. Small plates for us but big enough for the roaches!
Just mention the word Mezze and I have to find a time within the next 48 hours to have dinner there. Great Greek cuisine.
