Yikes! AWFUL. Served LUKEWARM water with dinner and COLD stale bread, with no butter offered. Very overpriced. Penne vodka and Penne Ariabatta were $24 each. NO SALADS OFFERED ON THE MENU. They plopped down mushy plain arrugula in front of us,with no comment, like they were feeding a dog. No mention of any salad choices or option of having the dressing on the side. Penne ariabatta was so SPICY IT WAS INEDIBLE!! (and I love pepperoni). BAD
we have been going to Mike's for years. It is a very special place
One of the best Italian's in Fairfield County, it's like going to your favorite uncle's for dinner. For wine enthusiasts ask about the reserve wine list.
This is simply the best Italian restaurant in lower CT!
Food & service are great. Lots of extras, such as free salad and prociutto. But beware the hard sell on the house wine. We fell for it twice (senior moments, I guess), and it is $90/ bottle. Shame on us for not asking; you get caught up in the homey atmosphere, and think it will be reasonably priced. Also, we got the sense they were trying to turn our table by bringing us a piece of cake (no choice) and didn't even offer coffee.
