As a former diner, Mill Pond's attitude doesn't live up to the food, service, or ambiance. If it weren't for the view, they would be running specials every night. Eat outdoors? Only if you know the owner. Eat with a large party? Be prepared to have dinner at 4:00. Too many other choices without ego problems. My dining experiences there are done.
Went here on a hot summer Saturday night and made reservation for inside table for 2. Have not been here in over a year, and it seems things have changed a bit. Food is fine, but not NYC prices fine - change in chef maybe the reason why. Service was very good, except that the runner didn't know who ordered what. Our major problem was the deafening noise level. This is not the place for a quiet dinner for 2. Maybe weekday lunch.
Tonight when we made our reservation we asked to be seated outside. When we arrived, we were told we would have to wait 20 min for outside. Then, a couple came and asked to be seated outside, and to our confusion was seated right away. When we inquired, the hostess said THEY TIPPED ME, AS IF THAT WAS AN OK ANSWER!. Then the manager volunteered the info that she would be fired, yet she worked the rest of the night, WHAT BS. Horrible Treatment
I wish I could say our dinner was great. however the word that comes to mind is mediocre. over priced, over stated, and to be honest a restaurant you can miss. with so many choices in Huntington there's no reason to go to centerport.
Definitely one of the best. Ate there for mother's day. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly and polite. A little pricey but worth it. Beautiful view and nice atmosphere.
