We dined here with another couple. The appetizers were very large and and the portions generous. Unfortunately we found the food here to be extremely salty. Our entire party of 4 all complained about salty food. The decor and ambiance are nice, I would return for drinks only at the bar.
Full disclosure: we live two blocks form the 'bird. Since moving to Houston in 2005, this has become our favorite restaurant. The food is exceptional, the service flawless, and the chef-owner John Sheely's perpetual good will is uplifting.
One of my favorite places and the truffle french fries need to be ordered regardless of what else you have on your menu. Great wine list and helpful waitstaff when trying to get through European wines. The kobe beef burger is even worthy of dinner. Fresh
