"Creative, cool and scrumptious" sums up David Chang's "non-typical" East Village bakery and its offshoots, where pastry chef Christina Tosi's "imagination" yields "fantastic" pork buns and "delightful" desserts including "sublime" cookies, "truly addicting" crack pie and soft-serve ice cream in "out-of-the-box" flavors; it's on the "expensive" side, and while you can "stand while you swoon" at "crowded" communal tables at the original location, the rest are takeout-only – "but you won't be sorry."
