Not impressed - shrimp toast was only high point, lobster tasted "fishy" steak was same quality at your local delivery spot. Will not be returning
The ambiance was outstanding! Gold plated utensils, quite, dim light... I loved it. The food was definitely not the best Chinese food I've had but it held its own. The waiter treated us like we were a bother. The grey vested waiters were incredibly attentive but the main waiter was no where to be found and very curt whenever we did interact with him.
Excellent food!!! Excellent service!!!!! Highly recommend. Dumplings are a must!!!
Spring Rolls with Hot mustard! No.
Peking duck- 2 giant crepe ( very, very thick) with the crispy skin and the meat is a no-go! Asked for tea and the Bill came. The place is nice but the food is not....
Not to worry. Mr K's is still over the top. We loved it when Mr. K opened his top-of-the-line Chinese restaurant in Washington on K Street in the 1980's (maybe the late 1970's) It was the best special occasion restaurant in DC. Fabulous food (tuned to the American taste), super-deluxe decor with 67 special touches, and great service. Mr K opened in NYC 14 years ago -- right in the heart of mid-town -- and the delight continues. Go.
