Expensive but, if you can roll with it, worth every penny. Fresh and delicious.
No frills, japanese with special rolls that are delectable but quite pricey. The harsh flourescent lighting in this intimate setting kills the mood of any romantic date or food enjoyment.
Serves too many premade items they buy frozen, like shumai dumplings that you can get at an Asian supermarket. Sushi rice was too sticky and soft, grain crushed on a California roll. Selection of fish very ordinary, tuna, salmon, yellowtail and eel; does not have anything that require real skill from the chef, like gizzard shad or sea eel. Convinient location in the West Hartford Center.
Best sushi in town--by far! After living in Japan for 2 years, I always like going to a restaurant that can replicate the real experience. Whether you get the special of the day (uni & toro are both mouth-watering) or the sushi for two, Murasaki's will delight. Also try their vegetable tempura--straight from the Tokyo train-station tempura stands! Oishii:-)
