  • No frills, japanese with special rolls that are delectable but quite pricey. The harsh flourescent lighting in this intimate setting kills the mood of any romantic date or food enjoyment.

  • Serves too many premade items they buy frozen, like shumai dumplings that you can get at an Asian supermarket. Sushi rice was too sticky and soft, grain crushed on a California roll. Selection of fish very ordinary, tuna, salmon, yellowtail and eel; does not have anything that require real skill from the chef, like gizzard shad or sea eel. Convinient location in the West Hartford Center.

  • Best sushi in town--by far! After living in Japan for 2 years, I always like going to a restaurant that can replicate the real experience. Whether you get the special of the day (uni & toro are both mouth-watering) or the sushi for two, Murasaki's will delight. Also try their vegetable tempura--straight from the Tokyo train-station tempura stands! Oishii:-)
