Went to The Hunt menu. It was quite the experience. I ate and enjoyed extremely rare and random meats. I really enjoyed Next.
We had the Kyoto menu. Being an Asian myself and have been to Kyoto to try the real Kyoto menus, all I could say is that Chef Grant made a good try and blended in the western influence with this most traditional Japanese cuisine. Good imagination on flavor. It, however, fails to bring out the freshness of the food, which is the true essence of Japanese cuisine, and too salty at times. Good choice on wines to pair with the food. Superb service.
Went for Thailand and Childhood, both were great experiences. Service was outstanding, the waiters are so friendly. The food was good to great with more on the good side.
We went for the Sicilian dinner. While the food was good, it failed to meet our high expectations - especially given the price. Many of the dishes were just modest "tweaks" on traditional pasta dishes. Also, the interior is too cramped and stark.
Paris was the meal of a lifetime, twice!
