We enjoyed this restaurant - but it wasn't up to par to some of our Italian favorites in San Antonio. The appetizers were delicious. Our duck, however, was overcooked and the chambord sauce was too much. The cannoli was great.
Good service and decent food
The terrific food and service far outweigh the cramped atmosphere.
Meatballs--apparently Grandma's recipe--are excellent, but everything else falls flat. Pasta--promised to be fresh that day--is clearly not. Preparation was somewhat sloppy, as was the waitstaff whose ranks were replete with italian accents. Televisions in the downstairs seating gave the restaurant a slightly cheap feel, which was luckily reflected cheap-er pricing.
Beehive busy at times. Off hours can be better. Seems like locals get better treatment, but they take care of you.
