This is a wonderful little restaurant near the Spanish Steps. Great for lunch or dinner. Waiters a bit snotty to English-speaking customers and will likely seat you in the back room so as not to offend the locals. Food is amazing, traditional Roman. I've gone there for years... every time I'm in Rome.
Our food was not good. An tuna and beans appetizer consisted of good-quality canned tuna (not transformed in any way) but tasteless and overcooked beans - bland mush. A green salad was loaded with vinegar. A spinach with tomato sauce preparation was remarkably bland.
A steak was very good, but we expect more than a good steak from a good restaurant. I highly recommend avoiding Nino.
