Surprisingly good food for a neighborhood joint. Excellent value...the entrees are large and the pastas are big enough to share. The gnocchi is amazing....some of the best I've had anywhere.
Friendly if unpolished service.
We were very pleasantly surporised at this neighborhood Italian. The appetizers were all excellent. The dinners were good, although one fish dish was overcooked. The kitchen immediately offered to replace it, and did, with a piece of fish that was delicious. Desserts were good, but not exceptional. The decor is rustic, but interesting. If the place is crowded, it's noisy, but on a week-night it was just fine. We will return.
An alternative to Zia's in Edison Park. Large, open space restaurant with excellent food and imaginative specials. Sometimes the service can be slow, so if you're in a hurry, this probably isn't the place, but if you're interested in a good, relaxing meal, this is the place for you. The chicken and veal dishes in particular are excellent.
