The best meal I have had in Chicago without a doubt. Romantic location, wonderfully prepared food, fresh seasonal ingredients.

North Pond is magical and we often come here for special occasions. This is a restored arts and crafts structure - there is a smaller dining room with a fireplace and floor to ceiling windows overlooking North Pond and the city skyline - been here with a full moon and it has to be the best view in the city -pure magic! The food keeps getting better - had freshly shot wild squab recently and it was one of the 2 or 3 best game dishes ever.

Very good upscale "nouvelle cuisine francaise" with some American season produce. One of our favorite charming decor (a kind of art deco) and great service.

Very good food off the beaten tourist path. Hard to get to but once you're there it was worth the trip.
