The very best Original Pancake Houses are owned by Walker Bros. and are located in the northern suburbs. The Apple Pancake and the German Pancake are too die for!

Excellent breakfast joint. You don't even mind the wait. Pumpkin pancakes in fall. Bacon that is worth the trip alone. Great diner feel.

The place is a disappearing breed : '40s-'50s breakfast-always-served type place where the waitress calls you "Hon"—although I don't specifically recall being called "Hon"— the sort of place that chains like the one whose name begins with /D/ and ends with /y's/ or the one that goes by its initials have long been trying to imitate. It's not the only game in town, but for those staying at one of the several area hotels, it's a value and a must.

Loved the ambiance and people watching at this Gold Coast location, ad divine fluffy ovenbaked omelettes. The side of pancakes were the perfect top off!
